Upload the PDF document you want to use as your template.

Select Fields

Select where you want the fields to appear on your PDF. Style them how you like and give them a name.

Upload Your CSV File

Upload a CSV with the data you want placed in the template's fields. Each row after the header represents a PDF's data.

FAQs

Can I delete the files after I create them?

Yes, you can delete any file you create at any time. To do so, locate your file after clicking the 'Files' button on the templates page, and then click 'Delete' on it.

When will I be charged?

The first 1,000 PDFs each month are free. After that, you’ll be charged per PDF according to the pricing below. We charge credit cards on the 1st of each month for the previous month’s usage. You can add/edit your credit card on your account page.

How should the CSV be formatted?

The CSV should contain a header with column names that correspond to the field names you chose for the Template. Each row after the header corresponds to a PDF that will be filled in. We recommend testing a CSV with a header and one row at first to avoid unnecessary charges.

Can I name the files in the CSV?

Yes. To name a file, include a column in the CSV with the column name 'pdf_otter_filename'. If a row in your CSV has this cell filled in, your PDF will be named after it. You don't need to add '.pdf' to the end of the filename.

Can I leave any cells blank?

Yes. Leaving a cell blank or excluding an entire column for a field results in a PDF with that field left blank.
